Virat Kohli was blessed with a son on 15 February, naming him Akaay. Kohli had taken a huge break from cricket to be for his family and returned to cricket in the 2024 IPL. Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma, also decided to not expose Akaay to the media, something they did with their daughter Vamika.

Recently, Virat Kohli shot an ad with actor Aamir Ali and the latter posted a photo of the two on his Instagram. Ali later spoke to Zoom about his interaction with the Indian superstar. He revealed that he saw photos of Vamika and Akaay, who have not been revealed to the public. The actor also backed Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s decision to not expose the two to the media.

Akaay is damn cute. I told him it's good that you've kept them away. It's Anushka's decision to keep the kids away. Kids have to be kids. But he's so golu molu and a cutie pie, God bless him. Aamir Ali to Zoom

Kohli and Sharma have kept their kids away from the media, with many fans never seeing the faces of the two. Sharma did promise some paparazzi that they could see Akaay in the future

Matthew Hayden questions if Virat Kohli would win India the World Cup

Virat Kohli’s spot in the 2024 T20 World Cup has been under loads of debate, with many believing he needs to play. On the other side, many believe he won’t be able to play in the West Indies and the USA, struggling on their pitches. Some, including Matthew Hayden have also argued that the youngsters of India need to be picked, ignoring Kohli.

Hayden spoke in detail about Kohli, praising his incredible stats and experience, but wondered if he would win India the World Cup. He pointed out Kohli’s weakness against spin, believing middle order batters like Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh would do better.

Hayden also believed the Indian team could shift to the youngsters in the team. He was impressed with the young team that beat Australia in the 4-1 T20 series after the 2023 ODI World Cup, believing they could also feature in the World Cup.
