The No. 16 Virginia Tech Hokies swept the Boston College Eagles in a big series in Blacksburg. The Hokies made a statement with their 12-2 win in game one as Emma Lemley struck out 9 batters over 6 innings and Michelle Chatfield belted 2 home runs and racked up 5 RBI in the win. Cameron Fagan, Kylie Aldridge and Emma Ritter also hit homers for Tech in the win. Emma Mazzarone and Molly Jacobson combined to throw a one-hit shutout as the Virginia Tech Hokies run-ruled the Boston College Eagles, 9-0. Bre Peck led the way on offense with a home run, a walk, and 4 RBI while Cameron Fagan added 2 hits with a homer and 3 RBI. The Hokies' bats didn't cool off for game three, as they beat the Eagles, 13-4. Cori McMillan recorded a grand slam while Emma Ritter and Cameron Fagan each added 2 RBI in the win. Boston College built a 4-1 lead behind two home runs by Jordan Stephens, but the Hokies exploded for 12 runs in the fifth inning to secure the win and the series sweep.
