Dodgers Fans React to Vandalized Vin Scully Mural in Los Angeles
USA TODAY Sports

There are some truly sick people in this world, and one of them popped up on Tuesday when a photograph surfaced on Twitter of a Vin Scully mural in Los Angeles vandalized by graffiti.

The mural, which is one of the many in Los Angeles honoring the longtime Dodgers broadcaster, was a picture of Vin Scully with a microphone and the phrase, "It's Time For Dodger Baseball," something he said before every game which is still said before every game today.

For some reason, someone though it was okay to vandalize the mural in a really ugly way, which you can see in this picture taken by @Dodgers_Blues on Twitter.

Fans were not happy with the vandalization, and rightfully so.

Hopefully, like @RickNabers said in the last tweet, the mural gets restored. It'll definitely have to be painted over again, but I'm sure the amazing artist who made it in the first place would be happy to have their work fixed.

As for the person who painted over it, the obvious question is why? Why can't the people of Los Angeles just enjoy a mural of one of the biggest icons the city has ever seen? Why can't you paint anywhere else except on top of this incredible tribute?

Like the comments said, we really can't have anything sacred. But hopefully the mural gets restored, and no one is heartless enough to do something like this again.
