September 16th Blue Jays Minor Leagues Recap: Vancouver put the C in Championship. Palmegiani and Martinez go back-to-back.

Buffalo- The Herd started the scoring in the 5th inning with a pair of solo home runs off the bats of Damiano Palmegiani and Orelvis Martinez. The RailRiders responded with an RBI single in the 6th and a solo home run in the 7th. Tie 2-2 in the top of the 10th, bases loaded, Cam Eden walked to score Martinez with the winning run. Eden also stole his 52nd. He is tied for 2nd in the IL with former Bison Forest Wall and trails Boston’s speedy prospect David Hamilton who has 56SB. Andrew Bash struggled, walking 5 batters but limited the damage to one run on one hit over 5.1IP. Yosver Zulueta (0.2IP), Adam Cimber (1.0IP), Brandon Eisert (1.0IP), Matt Wisler (1.0IP), and Gabriel Ponce (1.0IP) complete the final 3.2 innings holding the RailRiders to a run on 3 hits and a walk while striking out 7 batters.

New Hampshire- The Patriots scored 8 runs on 12 hits. Michael Dominguez allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, including two home runs. Grayson Thurman entered the game in the 6th, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits over 3IP, including a home run. Mason Fluharty pitched the 9th inning, allowing two runs on 3 hits. Micheal Turconi hit his 3rd AA home run and Rainer Nunez doubled, accounting for both New Hampshire’s runs. Devonte Brown went hitless but walked 4 times and scored two runs.

Vancouver- The C’s take the Championship series with a 10 to 2 thumping of AquaSox. Vancouver scored their 10 runs on 13 hits and 6 walks. They hit six doubles, a home run, and stole a base. Cade Doughty and Garrett Spain hit two doubles each. Jeffrey Wehler and Gabriel Martinez contributed the other doubles. Nick Goodwin hit a two-run home run in the 7th inning. Spain and Martinez finished with three hits. Doughty, Martinez, and Goodwin each drove in two runs. Dasan Brown went hitless but reached base three times with three walks. Ryan Jennings pitched three no-hit innings with 5Ks. Anders Tolhurst followed with 4 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, striking out 3 batters. Eric Pardinho and Justin Kelly finished the game with a scoreless 8th and 9th.
